AI is already changing how work gets done. For some, it is a welcome source of speed, creativity and confidence. For others, it raises practical questions, ethical concerns and a troubling sense of uncertainty about what “good” use looks like. This variation is now one of the biggest leadership challenges facing people managers.
As teams move at different speed (with early adopters experimenting enthusiastically and cautious colleagues holding back) managers are left to navigate expectations, identify and bridge skill gaps, ensure compliance, manage inconsistent outputs and deal with the friction caused by differing views on risk, fairness, transparency and trust.
This 90-minute interactive session is designed for HR leaders who want to help their managers support individuals and teams with clarity, confidence and care as AI becomes part of day-to-day work.
Using our practical, experiential approach we’ll explore:
- How and why AI adoption creates friction, and the behaviours that can manifest within teams.
- How differing levels of confidence, curiosity and caution shape team dynamics.
- The ethical questions employees are raising around AI, and how people leaders can manage these effectively.
- What managers need from HR and the wider business, to set clear expectations without shutting down experimentation.
- How to create inclusive, and psychologically safe spaces for teams to discuss the uncertainty, boundaries, expectations and responsible use of AI.
- Practical ways managers can help their people collaborate with one another alongside AI, building understanding and confidence, sharing learning and agreeing best practice as a team.
By the end of the session, participants will have a clearer view of how managers can support effective, compliant and collaborative AI use — not by having all the answers, but by asking better questions, creating shared guardrails and helping teams learn together through open dialogue.
It cannot solely be about learning to use AI tools, but also fostering the human judgement, skillsets and behaviours needed to use those tools well. If you are responsible for helping leaders develop capability, confidence and trust in a fast-changing workplace, this session will give you a practical framework for turning AI-related uncertainty into focused, human-centred action that will strengthen and stabilise teams.
