Masego – Black History Month 2024 Campaign

Masego

During the midst of the pandemic, stumbling on to new music and artists became a great way to help pass the time spent cooped up in the house. One artist that I fell in love with during that time is a now globally recognized artist, Masego. Masego is known for playing the saxophone, but can be seen playing the drums, guitar, and keyboard. His signature is a fusion between trap, jazz, and soul, which has set him apart in the music world. Outside of being an instrumental prowess, Masego is a gifted vocalist.

In 2016, Masego made his mark with the release of his debut EP, “Loose Thoughts,” unveiling a genre-blurring style now dubbed “TrapHouseJazz.”. His breakout moment arrived with the viral sensation “Tadow,” a collaboration with French producer FKJ in 2017. The track’s global success propelled Masego into the limelight, showcasing his ability to transcend musical boundaries.

Masego’s fearlessness in pushing boundaries stands out. He has become a symbol for innovation and authenticity which is seen during his immersive live performances and presence off the stage.
