Smita joined Steps India in January 2017 as a Project Manager. She has media sales experience with two leading newspapers in India and has worked extensively in Performance Management Systems and Learning and Development at an Engineering Company. She has some experience in training soft skills such as high impact communication skills, presentation skills, interview techniques, goal setting and time management, to name a few.
Smita enjoys being a part of Steps Team and to be learning new things every day. She is a big Bollywood movie fan and loves to listen to Indian music. She believes in continuous improvement and keeping a positive attitude in life, and her favourite quote is “Hope is a good thing” from the film The Shawshank Redemption.
Smita lives in Pune and is married to Nitin. She has one daughter, Nandini.

What inspires you?
The lives of those who, out of nothing, have created history based only on their conviction, hard work, passion, discipline and by daring to dream BIG. The drive inspires me. I am also inspired by those who have led a very simple/ordinary life and perhaps achieved a little less, but were content and found happiness in everything, small or big. The simplicity is what inspires me. Both the things can seem contradictory, but you get inspired by anything that touches your heart! Every story is unique in its own way.
