A great Inclusive Leadership session with Remote Daily!

28 May 2020

We were delighted to take part in the lunchtime talk show Remote Daily on Thursday May 21st.

Remote Daily is a daily talk show and safe space for innovators to connect daily, feel less isolated and learn from amazing speakers. Created by Work Awesome, as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Remote Daily has grown into an amazing community of over 700 people over the past few months.

Our 45-minute session, Exploring Inclusive Leadership in the Virtual World, looked at various aspects of inclusive leadership including:

  • How do you meet the challenge of keeping people engaged, motivated and working as a team in the virtual environment?
  • Raising awareness of Affinity Bias and how it influences In & Out groups, and the impact this can have when allocating work assignments.

The interactive workshop run by our skilled actor-facilitators included our drama-based approach adapted for the virtual world, as well as discussion with our participants and some theory-based input.

Grace Cook, Co-Founder and Co-Host of Remote Daily said: “Steps was the ideal partner and slotted seamlessly into our format. The session was unique, fun and challenged ideas of leadership. We saw a very high engagement with the chat lighting up and it gave a voice to almost everyone on the call. Bravo!”
